| On Tuesday 20 May the new diesel was used to shunt the Ardingly siding. This process invoved the removal of all the vehicles in the road from the northern end of the station, behind the signal box and down to the buffer stops. This was to enable the removal of several vehicles of interest to C&W (LSWR 320, SECR 1050, SECR 950 & SR 7864 to name four. The partially empty up yard opened up some rarely seen vistas and enabled some of the more reclusive stock to have their photos taken. |
